Covid-19 Information

Coronavirus announcements:

In light of the recent developments with the outbreak of the Coronavirus, we wanted to make sure that you stay safe and healthy during this time. We want to ask you to make sure that you avoid unnecessary gatherings with a large number of people and practice social distancing. We will do our best to accommodate those attending City meetings and also ensure we will stream all meetings live.

Make sure to wash your hands often, do not touch your face, and stay home when you are sick.

Once again, please be safe and stay healthy and follow the advice of the CDC and the SD Dept. of Health.

Meal announcement:

The Coronavirus has affected all us on one level or another. It has had a particularly strong effect on some of our most vulnerable community members such as the elderly, children relying on the provision of lunches at school, individuals with at-risk immune systems, and disabled members of the community. As a result, we here at the City office have decided to ensure folks get the chance to eat a meal (albeit it may be simple meal).

We will start, effective Wednesday (03/18), preparing sandwiches at the Crooks Community Center, which will be available for pickup from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. If you wish to participate or know of someone who might be interested, please let us know (call/text: 605-359-5537 or 605-929-3442 / email: boseby@cityofcrooks.net or tschantz@cityofcrooks.net). If you are unable to stop by and pick up a sandwich, we will be able to deliver one (limited capacity).

Please let us know in advance to allow us to properly plan.

It is our goal to continue this as long as possible during the Coronavirus crisis. Some changes might be announced on short notice, and we kindly request you check either Facebook or the City's website.
