Crooks Community Center

"When we dream alone, it is only a dream.  But when we dream together, it is the beginning of reality."  - Unknown

This plaque hangs on the south wall of the Crooks Community Center.  In 2002 this quote was chosen by Mayor DeRaad, Chairman Laird and Finance Officer Hunnel as it embodied the essence of the city's dream of building a community center.  With the help of many volunteers,  the dream become a reality.

Rudolph Benson, in honor of his wife Lois, donated the two acres of land the center sits upon.  This generous gift will be appreciated by the Citizens of Crooks for years to come.

Through hard work and careful planning, the Crooks Community Center opened its doors in 2003.  A meeting place for school, community and service organizations,  the 6400 square foot center is also available for rentals.

See the Crooks Community Center Rental page for more information on reserving the space for an event.
